TWO DAYS SNAKE HANDLING & TRAINING COURSE/ EDUCATION.
Combine your Herping trip with our handling courses probably before going to the field. Our trainer Dadaire Alphar did his snake training in South Africa with one of the most popular worldwide snake expert Mike Perry, Founder and owner of African Reptiles and Venom, a company based in Johannesburg.
Alphar also got involved in training employees for one of Uganda’s biggest hydro electric dam (Bujagali Dam) in early 2020 and was fully recognized and applauded. So, doubt nothing when doing a training with us.
Gorilla Permits
Please book your tours at least 3 to 6 months in advance. Gorilla permits have limited availability, especially in the high and peak seasons (January, February, June, July, August, September and December)

YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION
All Travelers coming to Uganda must be vaccinated against yellow fever. This is also one of the requirements for entry into Uganda. On arrival, you’re required to present your yellow fever vaccination cartificate.

FOUNDER'S BIOGRAPHY - THE LOVE FOR SNAKES
When I was a boy (11 years old), my grandmother died of a snake bite as she did not get immediate medical attention for the condition. Since then – I have had a passionate interest in snakes, their behaviour, and how we may learn to live peaceably with them.
I suspect it was a forest cobra that bite my grandy, and due to much ignorance by then, caused by being uninformed , the family members relaxed to seek for any medical attention, and relaxed since it was late at night; around midnight. They were proposing to seek for medication next morning but all in vain, they found her dead by 5am.
This made me have countless questions which remained unanswered, wondering what the snakes could posses and make someone die just like that. I therefore started seeking for more information and was at one point given an opportunity to volunteer at Entebbe zoo, during my holidays.
This helped me to acquire more knowledge about snakes, their venoms, behaviours, etc. It’s because of you my grandy that I came to realise how important these vilified species are.

Besides my grand mother’s incident, I also got attacked by one of our crocodiles at the zoo I’m currently working for in Feb 2019. I sustained several injuries, my arm got broken, up to now having teeth marks(scars) on my left arm which isn’t in its right alignment.
When I recall how I couldn’t hate snakes after losing my grandy, this makes me to be a proud living testimony and a friend to this crocodile.
MAY THIS CROCODILE CONTINUE TO LIVE FOR MANY MORE YEARS A HEAD.
PRO BONO PUBLICO (GIVING BACK)
10% of the money received from our clients goes back to our community educations.
It’s used as facilitation to carry out snake education and also helping the needy. We intend to extend our services to many people in order to raise awareness of local wildlife in Uganda – in particular snakes – in outlying communities to encourage people to live
alongside our wildlife without the need for fear of, conflict with, or the killing of a species they feel threatened by.
Snake encounters can be alarming for many people, especially if they do not understand how harmless these creatures can be. If you unexpectedly come across a snake, the snake is likely going to be as startled as you are. If you give them space and a path to escape, they will almost always go on their way in peace.
There is no reason to scare or kill the snake. During our program, we also make communities know and realize how important each animal species are in our ecosystem. Be part of this by always booking with us.
